2M Automotive started as a one-man shop in founder Shon Morrow’s home garage. Through passion, hard work, and talent, 2M Automotive has grown into a full-service auto repair shop in Tyler, TX.

Meet the Owner

In the late '80s, the original "two Morrows" -- Shon's father and grandfather -- started 2-Morrows Alignment & Brake in Henderson, Texas. Shon joined them his junior year of high school, in 2003, and took every opportunity to learn the industry; not just how to be a mechanic, but how to run a shop in a small community. In 2022, after two decades of tutelage, he wanted to build something of his own.

At first, Shon worked out of the garage of his home, but after several months, his wife asked him to move the work elsewhere. Who could blame her - business was booming, and the traffic was becoming a problem. And so ink met paper, loans and lease agreements were signed, and signage was purchased.

The name on the new sign read "2M Automotive," but the two M's aren't for Dad and Papaw any longer -- they're for his two sons. Shon hopes to keep the tradition of a local, family-owned and operated auto repair shop alive for at least another generation (but we'll see - the boys want to become NASCAR drivers).
